The East Harlem community has long been an essential part of my life. Through photography and film, I have been granted the privilege of uplifting and illuminating the spirit of El Barrio. Growing up and playing in its streets during the 1970s, 80s, and 90s came with undeniable challenges, yet those experiences shaped a resilient and vibrant culture. This website and exhibition are dedicated to honoring the residents of El Barrio and celebrating the enduring strength and contributions of the Latino community.
